So it’s my birthday tomorrow and in celebration, I am off to see Jonathan Wilson perform in Manchester. Really looking forward to the show.
Couple of recent Key Stage 3 book covers, commissioned by Oxford University Press.
On the subject of horses - this one was spotted in Turkey. Kind of reminded me of this.

Looking through some old work, found this pitch for JJ.Abrams’ Star Trek film.
These are a couple of examples of some illustration work I’ve been doing for the Insurance Times. The images are for a feature called ‘reflections’ which is basically an interview with the central figure in the illustration.
Bit slow on the upload of this post but this week’s edition of NME features a full page illustration I produced of Kanye West in the form of a stained-glass window. Art-Direction: Tony Ennis.
Stomping to this recently.
The Queen’s Coronation Festival is to be held in Buckingham Palace Gardens, from tomorrow until Sunday. Prior to leaving for Turkey, I worked on some illustrations that were to be published in the festival guide, a copy of which I received through the post this morning. Nice nice nice.
Well, there has been rather too few updates on here recently. Since my last posting, I have been away in Turkey, enjoying the sun and generally just taking some time out. During that time I have re-discovered the joy of just sitting somewhere with sketch book and pencil, and drawing. Not for aestheticism, but to simply observe and engage with environment. Quite a liberating feeling, to shed all inhibitions and focus purely on process, and something rarely necessitated in client work.
Rizzle Kicks for regular spot in Q magazine
Haven’t posted any of these for a while so thought I’d put up this week’s illustration for the Big Issue. The subject is Solomon Smith who runs a Soup Kitchen in Brixton.
Please hurry up summer, I want to play this in the sun.
